Lift Stations

Lift stations, also known as pump stations, are an essential component of many municipal or industrial wastewater collection systems. In fact, most wastewater collection systems are not sustainable without lift stations. Lift stations are designed to pump waste water to a higher elevation from lower lying residential and commercial buildings where gravity fed drains are not possible. The lift stations transport the wastewater upward at a rate that prevents back flow. It is imperative that lift stations be installed properly, routinely tested and maintained. In the event of a lift station failure, by either a main break, power outage, or pump failure, wastewater will collect in the lift station wet well and backup into the pump's system or in worst case scenario, cause a major backup which can lead to costly lift station repairs or lift station replacements.
